We care about your privacy and believe in transparency. That is why we are committed to being clear about our privacy practices and providing settings that allow you to choose how certain information is used. This policy provides details on how and when we use cookies. As described in our Privacy Policy and in accordance with its provisions, we use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to identify you and collect information that enables us to activate certain features on our site, allow you to access your account, analyze site traffic and usage, and personalize content and advertisements.

Definitions
Cookies are short fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the website (session cookies) or subsequently, even days later (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Similar technologies, such as web beacons, clear GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information on user behavior and the use of services.
In the remainder of this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply by using the term “cookies”.
Types of cookies used
Essential cookies
These cookies are essential to allow you to navigate throughout the website and make full use of its features, such as accessing various secure areas of the site. Without these cookies, certain necessary services, such as filling out a contact form, cannot be used.
Functionality cookies
Cookies allow the site to remember choices made by the user (such as language or region of origin) and provide enhanced, personalized features. These cookies can also be used to remember changes made to text size, fonts, and other customizable parts of web pages. They may also be used to provide services you have requested, such as watching a video or viewing comments on a blog. The information collected by these types of cookies is anonymized and cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.
Third-party and performance cookies
Performance cookies collect information on how users use a website, for example, which pages are visited most often, or if error messages are received from web pages. These cookies do not collect information that identifies a visitor. All information collected through cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous. They are only used to improve the functioning of a website.
By visiting a website, you may receive cookies both from the visited site (“first-party”) and from sites operated by other organizations (“third parties”). A notable example is the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn. These are parts of the visited page generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the host site’s page. The most common use of social plugins is aimed at sharing content on social networks.
The presence of these plugins entails the transmission of cookies to and from all sites operated by third parties. The handling of information collected by “third parties” is governed by their respective privacy policies, to which you are requested to refer. To ensure greater transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the various policies and cookie management methods are listed below.
Google Analytics
This site also includes certain components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). In this case as well, these are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies).
Google Analytics uses “cookies” to collect and analyze anonymous information regarding website usage behavior (including the user’s IP address). This website does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) the Google analysis tool to monitor or collect personal identification information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google, nor does it attempt to link an IP address with a user’s identity. Google may also disclose this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. For further information, please refer to the link below:
https://www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/
Users can selectively disable Google Analytics actions by installing the opt-out add-on provided by Google on their browser. To disable Google Analytics, please refer to the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Cookie duration
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is executed. Other cookies “survive” the closure of the browser and remain available for subsequent visits by the user.
These cookies are called persistent cookies, and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases an expiration date is set; in other cases the duration is unlimited.
However, while browsing the pages of this site, you may interact with websites operated by third parties that can create or modify permanent and profiling cookies.
Cookie management
Users can decide whether or not to accept cookies using their browser settings.
Please note: disabling technical cookies, entirely or partially, may compromise the use of site features reserved for registered users. Conversely, public content remains fully accessible even when cookies are completely disabled.
Disabling “third-party” cookies does not affect website navigability in any way.
Settings can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. Furthermore, the best browsers allow you to define different settings for “first-party” and “third-party” cookies.
For example, in Firefox, through the Tools -> Options -> Privacy menu, you can access a control panel where you can choose whether or not to accept the different types of cookies and proceed with their removal.
